WOD Wednesday 12.22.2010

At tonight’s 6 pm WOD we had a pullup breakthrough!  Congratulations Dr. JH on his first kips.  (3 in a row, no less)

Remember that tomorrow we have the regular WODs until the 9:15, then we will be OFF until the Monday after Christmas.  (the 27th)

The week between Christmas and New Years we will have one 9:30 am WOD daily.  If you have need of another time and can get a group of at least 5 together, we will consider adding other wod times.

Warm Up: Med Ball Relays,  Double KB Step Ups

Skill: Thruster, Push Jerk

WOD: For Time:

200m Run then 7 Rounds of:

7 Barbell Thrusters (95/65) immediately into 5 Barbell Push Jerks

200m Run

Cool Down: Informed Freestyling Foam Roll SMR or Lax Ball SMR

Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense.
