Getting started training at CrossFit Discovery begins with the Free Trial session. We know your time is valuable, so before you go sign up for it, please know that after the Free Trial we require completion of our Kickstart Course (at least 10 personal training sessions with a coach) before you can join our group classes. The Kickstart Course is designed for people new to CrossFit and gets you ready for success in group training. (Personal training sessions are $75/session.)
At the Free Trial we want to get to know you. We’ll talk about your goals, experience in training or sport and any injuries and/or limitations you may have. We’ll assess your mobility/flexibility. We will explain why we train the way we do. You will learn how we define fitness and why integrating training, nutrition and recovery is the most sustainable path to optimal health. We’ll answer any questions you have. We’ll teach you to how to safely and correctly perform some foundational movements. And then we’ll do a quick fitness test (workout) scaled to be appropriate for you.
CrossFit Discovery is a big investment compared to traditional commercial gyms. We offer the Free Trial as a first session so you can make an informed decision. Our clients are motivated folks who understand the importance of prioritizing their own good health. Our years of experience have shown us that ANYONE can do CrossFit and the results are second to none, but it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.
We are not interested in a short term “sales.” We don’t make you sign long term contracts either. We can help you to be more fit, happy and healthy for years to come if you decide to become part to our community.

Athletes with extensive CrossFit experience who wish to bypass the Kickstart Course may book a Skill Evaluation session in place of the Free Trial.
